Illinois state parks
Choose among Rock Cut’s lakes, the canyons at Starved Rock and Matthiessen, Giant City’s sandstone passages, Pere Marquette’s river bluffs, and the Lake Michigan habitats at Illinois Beach.

What to know about these parks
- Use current closures alongside the park overview. A park can remain open while a particular bridge, canyon or parking area is unavailable.
- Separate a scenic drive from a hiking route. A bluff viewpoint on a page is not proof that every visitor can reach it in the same way.
- Use the official camping portal for availability. Nearby private sites, lodge rooms and the state campground are different products.
